Soon thereafter, Grandpa Joe left and Omi Sonja chose a surprise arrival to wish Anna a very happy birthday!
In early October, Paola turned 2 and we chose to have a more calm birthday party. :) She doesn't understand the difference yet, thank goodness!
But if you know Omi Sonja at all, you know that she can't sit down and chill for long. She helped out so much in so many ways, I don't even know when to start... but I especially enjoyed her interacting so well with the children. She is so artistic, it was fun thinking out of the box and being creative with her!

While Sonja was visiting, we took her to Fredrichsberg to celebrate Oktoberfest... while we were there we went to an exotic petting zoo... we all had a great time! Especially feeding the bison! I love how Omi can be so elegant, even at an exotic petting zoo. We love her flexibility! :)

Of course, when big sister gets a cool hairstyle, the little ones want one too... I tried my best to copy... it was tough, but this is what it looked like in the end... hours later! :)

Jonathan signed up to be dunked... he loved every minute of it!
This year will be Jonathan's last Pine Derby race as a Cub Scout! Memoriable event for us.

As you can see, mid-September to late October was enjoyable. We felt very blessed that we were able to see Omi Sonja and Grandpa Joe. The kids really love seeing family when they come to town.
