Everyday Life - La Vida Diaria al fin del mayo

Hello Family and friends,

Long time, no write. Life has been super hectic and we're adjusting to changes in our lives. We're getting the hang of it slowly, and have carved a free moment of our day in order to do some much needed therapeutic blogging. :)

Before I let you know what we've been up to most recently, I thought I would backtrack a bit. Here are some late May photos I didn't blog last time.

First, here are some photos of our last *sob* Preschool class of the Spring Semester. We miss David and his family and hope they are enjoying their new home in Washington state. Sad how some friends, like Naomi, are still in Houston but we haven't gotten around to seeing them. When Jonathan and Gabby are finished with swim lessons this month, we will have more free time to plan our days. It's sad but true, Jonathan and Gabby come 1st and then Anna's needs last, during summer time. It's been a tough adjustment for Anna, but hopefully she'll be okay when the oldest two return to school in the Fall. She's used to being in charge all day, and now she isn't.

Here are a few pictures of the kids doing their work, and then being rewarded by playing in the pool. Looking back, we've really enjoyed making friends at preschool... the children learned so much, grew up a ton, and overall had a blast! Your memories will stay with us forever, and we hope to continue seeing friends (either "live" or via the internet) grow up. Keep in touch.

Hola la Familia y amigos,
Ya pasó tanto tiempo en que no les escribí. La vida es super ocupada, los minutos volando... ajustando a varios cambios en nuestras vidas. Por el momento, tengo un tiempo libre para hacer mi <> terapéutico. :)

Antes de hablar con ustedes desde lo que han pasado durante el mes de junio, pensé hablar un poquito mas sobre el mes de mayo.

Primeramente, aquí están algunas fotos de nuestro última *lagrimas* clase Preescolar del Semestre de la Primavera. Echamos mucho de menos a David y su linda familia y esperamos que ellos gocen su nuevo hogar en el estado de Washington. Es triste tambien que tenemos algunos amigos, como Naomi, quienes están todavía en Houston pero que no nos hemos organizado un tiempo de verlos. Cuándo Jonathan y Gabby terminarán con sus clases de natación al fin del junio, tendremos más tiempo libre de planear nuestros días. Está triste pero es verdadero, Jonathan y Gabby casi siempre vienen primero y, entonces, las necesidades de Anna son ultimas durante los meses del verano. Ha sido un ajuste duro para Anna, pero optimistamente ella estará bien cuando Jonathan y Gabby vuelven a la escuela en el fin de agosto. Ella esta acostumbrada ser la jefa de la casa todo el día, y ahora ella no es.

Pues, aquí hay algunas fotos de los niños haciendo sus trabajos, y despues, recibiendo su recompencion por bueno comportamiento, la oportunidad de jugar afuera en la piscina. ¡Mirando hacia atrás, tenemos muchas memorias lindas sobre nuestros amigos preescolares... los niños aprendieron tanto, maduraron bastante, y lo pasaron SUPER bien este año juntos! Sus memorias permanecerán con nosotros para siempre, y esperamos continuar siendo amigos (o "en vivo" o vía el internet). Por favor de mantenerse en contacto.

Okay, here's another huge accomplishment that occured in May. I cleaned out the Fridge... ah, I hear the applause. Yes, it's been overdue. Danny came home and opened it up and was literally speechless. :) I did this because we were planning to go to Arkansas for a week (more about that in the next blog)... I had planned to simply get rid and use up perishable foods, but really enjoyed getting the fridge squeeky clean... I'm just strange that way. ;)

Bueno, aquí está otro logro inmenso que ocurrió en mayo. Lavé, limpié, y organicé el Refrigerador... ah, oigo el aplauso. Danny volvió a casa y abrió la puerta y literalmente se quedó mudo. :) Decidí lavarlo porque planeábamos ir a Arkansas por una semana (más acerca sobre el tema de Arkansas - despues) ... Había planeado simplemente para organizarlo y echar algunos alimentos perecederos, pero empezé a fijarse en limpiarlo bien... realmente me gustaba la experiencia, soy muy extraña así, ya sé. ;)

A wonderful surprise we noticed late May. Our 3 year old banana plant, planted on the West side of our home, is producing bananas! I'm so excited!!! Since the only fruits Anna eats are bananas and apples, if this banana tree provides mature bananas, we're set with her food storage... now we only need an apple tree...

¡Que sorpresa maravillosa! ¡Nuestra planta de plátano, tiene ya 3 años de edad, está produciendo plátanos! ¡Somos tan emocionados! Como los plátanos son las únicas frutas, menos las manzanas, en que Anna prefiere comer, si este plátano resulta en plátanos maduros, somos listas con su comida de emergencia... ahora solamente necesitamos un manzano...

We had a fun day watching Genevieve and William some time in May. Paola loves William's hair and it's great to see Genevieve and Gabby getting along again as they did when they were toddlers... Jonathan and Charlotte/Elizabeth continue to be buddies, they're favorite past time is playing and trading GameCube games. Charlotte was singing in Austin this day... congrats to her!

Tuvimos un día divertido cuidando a Genevieve y William un día en mayo. Paola adora el pelo de William y es realment bonito ver a Genevieve y Gabby llevándose bien de nuevo, como lo pasaron bien cuando eran pequeñitas... Jonathan y Charlotte/Elizabeth continúan ser compadres como siempre, pero ahora prefieran jugar con el <>.
